Field Trip

This month our home school co-op has had some great field trips. We are so blessed to have a great group of kids and mom’s to meet with. We all have such a great time. This year we have been focusing on the Medeival Ages time period. The first destination was to the Berman Museum in Anniston, AL. The collection was gathered over several decades by Mr. and Mrs. Berman who were spies during WWII. The docent even took us down to the basement vaults and let the kids TOUCH and HANDLE many items that were hundreds of years old!!! They were encouraged to do this!!! I was amazed, as were my children.

Here are some pics from that day of hands on learning.

Can you imagine setting about 3 dozen children loose with these?

Thankfully the kids were very orderly!

Then we visited the Natural History Museum next door. VERY COOL! They had an exhibit on how chocolate came down through the ages.

One thing missing on these little trips is this, my baby man.

My oldest son, Ian. After much hesitation on my part, we placed him in public school this year. Thankfully, this mom’s heart can rest easy as he transitioned beautifully.
